hhm ramblings: family love

With the holiday weekend coming to a close, we are winding down, exhausted, and sad to see everyone go. It’s 12:48am and we are just getting home, I am writing my final post for the day, and the nephews and kiddos are sprawled out all over the living room watching The Twilight Zone. (love this show! my hubby and I used to watch this ALL THE TIME when we first started dating, awwww sweet memories…)
Due to distance we rarely get the opportunity to spend the weekend with our sister-in-law and the kids, so this weekend really was a blast. It makes us appreciate every second, and makes ME realize how important it is to make this time to spend with one another. We will forever remember this weekend we all had together. Five games of monopoly, 2 batches of cupcakes, several trips to the swimming pool, fireworks, tons of laughs, and three nights later, we can’t believe the weekend is coming to a close. And in the wake of so many high-profile losses, it reminds us that these moments are times to cherish. With that said, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!
Ciao,
Shannon
