What could be cuter than a sushi playdate snack for the adults and the kiddos? Regular sushi special rolls, maki, nigiri and temaki may have items you aren’t ready to give your little ones. So turn a creative craft into an impressive snack for all to see. All you need is a few ingredients and an eager extra set of hands.
Start by cutting the Twinkies into slices. Roll out the Fruit Rollups and cut into 2 size strips. One to wrap around Nigiri. One for the seaweed wrap on the special rolls. Shave bits and pieces of the dried papaya and place in the middle for ginger. Cut powdered sugar donut minis in half. Next, place a Swedish Fish on top and wrap in a Fruit Rollup slice.
Once sushi is all together make sure to place creations into the refrigerator to avoid a melty mess.
While you and your girlfriends are enjoying a light and healthy lunch, the tots can enjoy their modified versions for a mini sugar high. Sorry! HHM does make the conscious effort to share healthier recipes, instead of ones that are all pumped up with sugar, but they were too cute to resist.

I know, right? So great!
Totally dying. Loooove these! For Mateo’s 1st birthday i had a boat theme…and had a goldfish bowl of swedish fish and in another i had crushed oreo cookies (dirt) and buried gummy worms. he wasn’t old enough to appreciate it but the older kids sure thought it was funny!
Can’t wait to share your pics from your awesome parties lovie! Glad you like the site!
Hi,
I just read your blog on Kiddie candy Sushi. What a great idea and they look pretty real too. I’m going to forward this to all my friends that have little ones so they can share this with their kids. I also think that it opens doors to kids that are scared of Sushi or just don’t want to try them. This way, they can ease their way into it. Great JOB!
I LOVE this. This is an awesome idea!
