“two little pumpkins” baby shower

Thanks for coming back! Congrats, you are officially a Happy Hour Mom! Make sure you check us out on Twitter and Facebook!

We wanted to give my SIL the shower she deserves.  Our goal was to celebrate the additions while honoring the passing of her previous twins with a theme that resembled the season when it occurred, and bring new light and feeling. Plus, with the upcoming Halloween Holiday and pumpkins everywhere, we knew we had a great idea on our hands in order to celebrate the coming of our two new nephews.  With invitations composed with, “Jason and Sara are adding TWO LITTLE PUMPKINS  to their patch,” beautiful décor in fall colors and accents scented with cinnamon we pulled off a special event.

Food.

A fall blend of fruits-raspberries, pears, black grapes and honeycrisp apples.

A North Shore Wild Rice Chicken Salad

Pasta Primavera Salad

Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting

Decor.

Great fall inspired plates from Isabelle at Target

Dried Hydrangeas, from my mom’s garden, sprayed with gold paint

Vases filled with red and clear crystals

Pumpkin salt and pepper shakers

Branch Centerpiece

Pumpkins and gourds, of course!

Carvable Pumpkins with the family names to create the patch. Set on the front step

Cinnamon scented pinecones.

Party Favors.

Mini terracotta plants with Forget-Me-Nots (in memory of Aiden and Samuel), peppers, fresh basil and flowers.

Must-have.

Buy a stack of thank you cards for the mom-to-be and have all the guests fill out their information to make it easy! Everyone was in love with the wild rice salad-we might have to include copies in the thank you cards.

Invites.

Designed by my BFF and great designer, Amy.

Game.

We had a special request for NO games! So I ordered a non-game game. Scratch off lottery tickets that featured two twin babies hiding over a pumpkin. Winner received fall scented candles.
