Holiday decorating here we come! This weekend I ran into and old girlfriend of mine who had recently did some work with The Affair with the Chocolate Extravaganza, which held an amazing expo this past weekend featuring the best in decadent food items and luxurious decor which can all be appreciated over the next upcoming holidays. Tabletop Trends by the International Special Events society held a contest for the best looking design. I am pretty sure I said “WOW” about a hundred times. Check out the preview inspiration board seen above and allow yourself to get inspired to try something new and maybe a little unconventional. (Just wait until you see the frames used as charges to adorn proper settings)
This first trio of pictures were created by the design team at Apres. They put together a 1920′s Mountain retreat that is sumptuous, masculine and organic with textiles that evoke aged tree bark and hues of oyster, taupe and pewter. Mohagany chairs feature cascading layers of raw shantung, seemingly shredded by a windy landscape. Centerpiece of antlers, feathers, moss and candlelight. Guests magically create snow from an alchemists vial.
