looking for a new hairstyle?

Today was a wonderful day! There is nothing more relaxing than having your head massaged and your hair shampooed (wow, I don’t think I have ever written this word–shampooed–lol, one of those words you write and think “that can’t be right”…). I had a long-overdue day at the salon, and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Remember the days when you were a regular with your stylist, and you were so tight that they would squeeze you in when you needed a trim? Like if you called at the last minute and begged for them to fit you in their schedule they would move things around to get you in… well, those days are LOOOOOOONG gone. Apparently when you haven’t scheduled an appointment in over two years you are history. I felt insulted when I called and a new receptionist answered and was like, “What was your name again? Yeah, sorry, I don’t think Jon Michael can get you in for at least another six months.” I felt like saying “Excuse me? Do you know who this is? Maybe you should check with Jon Michael, he’s been doing my hair for years!” And then I realized that nobody cared who I was. I was that frumpy mom that never made it to the salon. Ha, well let me tell you, things are going to change. I am going to get this mess on my head back in order. So I settled with another stylist who just started at my favorite salon and excitedly thought of new looks. I found this super fun site that allowed me to upload my picture and put different cuts on for a sneak peek. What do you think? LMAO, so much fun. I put the hood on so that my hair didn’t blend with the samples, but you can throw in any pic you’d like. Got to the MyLifetime site to try out some of the looks on yourself. Which one is your fave?
The site also allows you to play with your make-up and accessories, hilarious. You can see my before and after below.
And I would like to note that I in no way settled on a stylist today. He did an incredible job, I loved the cut. I guess change is okay…sometimes. Check out my new doo:
