oprah announces the end of her talk show

“The Oprah Winfrey Show,” will end its run in 2011, Tim Bennett, the President of Harpo, announced in a letter released to ABC affiliates on Thursday.

Seriously? I can’t believe it. Oprah has become such a common household name, it is going to be a sad day when her show comes to an end. Whether you like Oprah or not, afternoon television will never be the same without her. Who will take over that time slot? I know I wouldn’t want to step into those shoes! I have a feeling Oprah lovers, and haters, across the country will be tuning in today to hear Oprah say it for herself. So don’t forget to set your DVR and tape todays episode, or tune in, and get the full scoop from Oprah herself. I haven’t seen the show in quite some time, but I will be one of millions tuning in!
