My little girl is growing up!! As you can see, the second I put her Ruby Roxanne Design Party headband on she started striking the birthday girl poses. WOW!

.

We threw the party early this year (thinking we would be out of the country at this point) so that she could have some of her friends over. She kept telling me she wanted a surprise party, and she wanted her friends to sleep over. Well the surprise part was fine with me, but a bunch of 3-8 year olds sleeping over? I think not. That is when I decided we would have all the fun of a sleepover, minus the sleep part. I found amazing Disney Princess sleeping bags for sale at Target ($9!!) and great goodies in the dollar section to complete the parting gifts for each of the girls. We had music, movies, games, goodies, giggles and cake. It was a hit! Check out the fun below:

I had my daughter go upstairs and get her PJ’s on while I whipped out the decor. That’s right, she was upstairs while I decorated below, and had NO IDEA what was about to go down.

This is her face as she came down the stairs. As the guests arrived, they were very quiet so that she wouldn’t know they were there. They had so much fun knowing that she was upstairs and they had to keep it down, I know they were dying trying not to laugh. Super cute!

Here we had fun making Christmas decorations. Mini snow globes to hang on the tree. I will do a step-by-step of these in a week or so. It was a great craft to do with the kids, super easy and not that messy.

And then it was game time. We played pin the Princess in her Bedroom (yes I know, it’s hard to keep a strait face with that one!) and the girls had a blast. The winner totally cheated with the peek but she was so cute doing it I couldn’t say a word. ANd then they played my all time favorite game, Candy Land. Check out the adorable mini Starbucks cups. They are my daughters fave so I got some earlier that day and filled them with Hot Cocoa and Marshmellows for the girls.

It was so fun, but by the end of the night we were absolutely exhausted. I can’t imagine having them actually sleep over! It was so cute as the parents were picking the kids up though, I will end it on this dialogue I had with one of the girls (we will call her “M”):

~

ME: Ok girls, it is time for Kira to get ready for Slumber Land, we will have to play together another day.

M: Ahhhahhhhahhhhh! That’s not fair. Why does Kira get to go to Slumber Land?! Can’t I come with her, I know my mom will say it’s okay…”
