hhm ramblings two pilots lost in space...

Cyber space that is. Yes, two men were responsible for making sure a plane of 144 innocent passengers got from San Diego to Minneapolis on flight 188, overshot there landing site by 100 miles. How is that possible? Apparently, the two men were browsing the internet and were completely preoccupied by their favorite blog,  HappyHourMom.com. In fact HappyHourMom.com had them so enthralled, they didn’t see the alerts that they had passed their destination. Okay, well maybe they were reviewing a computer program and not Happy Hour Mom, but regardless, these men were so involved in the scheduling program that it took them an hour and seventeen minutes to snap out of it. It still seems strange to me. I can see 15 to 20 minutes, but over and hour? Not to mention the fact that it scares the crap out of me that pilots can be THAT checked out while they are completely sober. I would almost rather hear that they were smashed or on drugs–At least then they could require heavier screening or something, but now we have to wonder if our pilots are too busy on their Facebook accounts to realize that the plane is headed toward a mountain. I mean, did these guys even look up? The whole thing seems strange to me, what do you think? Is something fishy?
