the latest superbowl XLIV | the saints go marching in...

to the end zone that is. If there is one thing I love, it’s football. I was laughing a few months ago when Toni posted about football rules because the point was to give women a cheat sheet to show her man that she knew football. I laughed simply because when I got married I had to teach my hubby some of the rules of football–although he quickly surpassed me in the knowledge of the game (it must be a guy thing). He grew up as a basketball junkie (obviously) so football wasn’t a huge part of his childhood. I, on the other hand, grew up with a family obsessed with football so today was a big day. I think many across the country were rooting for the Saints. New Orleans has been through so much after being hit hard by Hurricane Katrina  in 2005 and their city deserves nothing more than to see a win at the Superbowl. Some say it is just football, but to the entire state of Louisiana this team has become so much more. If you watched their win against the Vikings that put them in the Superbowl you would have seen that they had more heart. They won because they wanted it more. And after tonight’s game, you can see that these Champions wanted it just a little bit more.

Congrats to both teams, and most importantly to the players, coaches and fans of the new champs!!
