HappyHourMom.com had been an idea of mine for a long time, and after a few road blocks it was finally put into motion. In all actuality, it wasn’t until I shared my idea with a dear friend that HappyHourMom.com really came to life. You know how a battery doesn’t work unless both ends are touching and the charge is able to come full circle? Well that is Toni and I. And as odd an analogy as that may be (you know, I used to be a Chemistry geek…), I really feel like Toni is the other end of my battery and together we make HHM run. (Wow, that analogy sounded so much better in my head…) But I mean it, without her my idea would have remained stagnant for who knows how long. And while she and I are both incredibly creative, artistic, and eager to succeed on our own, it just seems as though we are much better when we come together. Sometimes we start brainstorming and our fingers can’t even keep up with our thoughts. We just start talking a hundred miles a minute throwing out ideas so quickly that they start to overlap and we get completely off track. Somehow a “what should we post tonight” conversation turns into how we are going to change the world with HappyHourMom.com. We are two moms with big dreams, creative minds, and the eagerness to share with all of you.
Launching HappyHourMom.com on May 17, 2009, I was excited tonight to see that we had officially published post number 1,000 not even a year later. To some that may seem so small, but to me it is such a blessing to see a site that I envisioned for so long, turn into something substantial, informative, fun, and inspiring to mommies everywhere. Toni was the final charge needed to bring an idea full circle and help turn it into something special. I sincerely appreciate all of our readers and loyal fans for continuing to visit, comment, and spread the HappyHourMom.com love. And to Toni, thank you so much for making me the battery I am today!!
