I am a huge fan of Twitter. Yes, I am a tweet freak. A Tweet stalker. A Tweet lover. However you want to put it, I am a fan. One of the primary reasons is that I have found some great products, seen some incredible things, and met some wonderful people, simply from tweeting. A couple weeks ago I logged onto Twitter before shutting the computer and heading to bed, and after following a few tweets and re-tweets (RT) I ended up clicking a link that sent me to La Pomme’s Etsy store. I especially loved these twitterrific tweet birds. Wouldn’t these be great for a nursery? Here are more details and what our friend Apol had to say her designs:
"The small frames are a fun take on my embroidered wall art pieces. The embroidery is done freehand with a regular sewing machine; I don't use any ready-made pattern nor an embroidery machine. It's a fun technique, and makes for an all-original piece! This piece is double-recycled. The idea for small art pieces came to me because I couldn't bear throw away the scraps I have from cutting the recycled vintage cotton that I use for my pillows. I stretched the double-recycled vintage cotton over a wooden frame. Measures 3.1 x 2.4 x 0.8 inches or 8 x 6 x 2 cm."
