
This week Happy Hour Mom is focusing on offering ideas for a toxic-free lifestyle. Everything we eat, sleep on, cook with and breathe manages to have some form of toxic chemical that we should not be ingesting. It is so important to reduce your family’s exposure to pesticides and chemicals, if at all possible. Going completely organic can be quite a stretch but their are 12 fruits and vegetables that contain the highest amount of pesticide load, known as “The Dirty Dozen.” Even though organic produce is a bit pricier, they can save you money in the long run. A new report from the Environmental Working Group found that if you’re eating non-organic celery today, you may be ingesting 67 pesticides with it, YUCK! it is worth spending that extra 20 cents now and avoiding the medical bills later!
