Check out these adorable, and super easy-to-make Octopus Hotdogs. Kids love them–they make eating fun. Hotdogs are typically loved by the kiddos, and when you remove the bun, add some yummy dipping sauces (aka ketchup, mustard, etc) and a sea creature, you will have a hit on your hands. It is one of the easiest “creative” meals I have ever prepared, and my kids absolutely love them! Follow these easy steps and in minutes you will have some happy kids on your hands…

Take your hotdog, leave the top inch in tact, and cut the bottom 75% in fours.

Boil your water, drop the dog in the pot, and watch the legs start to curl. (The longer they boil, the more the legs will curl!)

I like to cut a little face out with toothpicks (this one totally looks like Wilson from “Castaway”) and plop some mustard or ketchup on top for hair.

And there you have it, your OCTODOG!

Totally trying these out for mateo’s 4th bday. Planning an undersea adventure. Your hotdogopuses are perfect with a side of shell pastas in all sizes. Maybe some large stuffed shells too!!!

Love the shell pasta idea!! That would be perfect for a themed party. Make sure you take pictures so we can share them here on HHM!!
