Every Happy Hour Mom has a silly side, and this summer it is time to let your hair down and GET SILLY with your kids. Can you imagine the look on your child’s face when you jump in the pool with all of your clothes on or let loose with the backyard hose? You can hear the giggles already! This is the exact behavior being promoted by the team at ParentsConnect.com. They have launched the Silly Summer Showdown to encourage parents to get involved, get active, and get SILLY with their children. From seeing how long it takes you to get wet with your clothes on, to how many licks it takes to eat an ice cream cone, you are sure to get a few laughs and lots of giggles from this “Silly” challenge. Whether you are a working mom or dad, or you stay home with your kids all day, you will be amazed at the amount of fun and quality time you can get out of these activities–15 to 30 minutes of fun and laughs can go a long way for everyone.
While this Silly Summer Showdown is set to run through the end of July on ParentsConnect.com, this is really something that should be a daily challenge for the entire summer. Why not do one wild and silly thing each day to completely throw your kids for a loop. They will love that you can take time away from your chores or your career, or that serious parent-mode you’ve been running on, to be ridiculous and goofy.
