“I don’t hang out with other moms. All my friends are single and childless (single myself). I’d rather sit around and chug beer, eat pizza, and talk about the men I come across rather then the new workout routine so and so learned to shed the pounds or what brand of diapers is my fave and why. When I have a break from my child – I use it to be me.”
“Dear MIL: STFU every time you call about how DH is going to be ‘all alone’ with the baby for 1 day when I go on my trip next week. I am ‘all alone’ with the baby almost every day, and you didn’t seem the slightest bit concerned when you pressured DH to leave me ‘all alone’ with the baby for a WEEK when she was only 3 weeks old so he could visit you at Christmas. He’s her dad. He can take care of her for 24 hours ‘all alone’. So seriously STFU. Sexist bitch.”
“I really am trying DH, please be patient. I just want to get better, and that takes time. You are the best thing in my life and I can’t make it without you.”
*please note that the “shocking confessions” series are not personal experiences of Shannon and Toni of happyhourmom.com. These are anonymous confessions of moms being brutally honest so that we can all feel a little bit better about ourselves (and then we realize that we can each relate to half of them…)
