the starbucks secret menu | 14 drinks you don’t want to miss…

I don’t know a mom who hasn’t succumbed to the delight of a Starbucks treat at one point or another, but now you have a bit of a reason to make that trip. Pick out one of your favorite “Secret Menu Items” that Starbucks has to offer, and give it a try. We’d love to hear what Happy Hour Mom’s are thinking about some of these concoctions. I personally love the Cake Batter Frappuccino and the Chocolate Dalmatian…which one has your mouth watering?

Biscotti Frappuccino:

A little crunch in every sip…while the tag line might not seem too appealing, the drink itself is un-be-lievable! This is prefect for the mom-on-the-go who loves an ice cold blended coffee and a super yummy biscotti. Ask the barista to blend a biscotti into your frappuccino of choice and enjoy!

Cake Batter Frappuccino

This one makes my mouth water…order a Vanilla Frap, and have almond and vanilla syrup added to the drink. Yum, drink cake batter…yum!

Short Drink:

{happyhourmom name of choice: Starbucks Shot of…[insert name of fave drink] }

If Goldilocks were to visit your local Starbucks, she might think the “Short Drink” is juuuuuust right. If you think about this one long enough you might just be able to figure it out. I’ll give you a hint…it’s not a Venti…it’s not a Grande…it’s not tall…that’s right it’s a SHORT. It might not be advertised on the menu, but you will be pleased to know that the “Short Drink” is also a “Cheaper Drink” and is on the Starbucks register at checkout. You can get your favorite drinks at a lower cost and smaller size…that is if you are satisfied with a shot-sized Starbucks.

Captain Crunch Frappuccino:

Short cappuccino:

Not to be confused as a “Smaller” sized cappuccino, this delight goes  back to the more traditional, italian-style cappuccino, with a lot less milk than your average Starbucks Cap.

Dirty Chai:

Order your basic Chai Latte and get a little shot of Espresso for some extra umph!

Red Eye:

A regular drip coffee with one shot of espresso.

Black Eye:

A regular drip coffee with two shots of espresso.

Green Eye:

A regular drip coffee with three shots of espresso. Beware, this one has a KICK!

Penguin Mocha {AKA: Zebra Mocha}:

Chocolate lover? Can’t decide between your white mocha or regular mocha? Well, this one is for you! Get the best of both with this Mocha/White Chocolate Mocha delight. Yum-yum!

Poor Man’s Latte:

So you love yourself a Breve Latte but those weekly (daily) stops are adding up and you need to be smarter about your spending? If you don’t mind joining team tacky, we found your solution! Order an Iced Americano, half ice, no water. Then head over to the stand of condiments and add your half and half. Enjoy, I hope you don’t run into anyone you know… (probably best when visiting an out-of-town Starbucks!)

French pressed coffee:

While living in Europe, most recently in Tallinn, Estonia, I became a huge fan of pressed coffee–I loved using my Coffee Press! Choose any of the available coffee blends and request a French Press serving of your fave to experience all of the delightful flavors!

Chocolate Dalmatian:

This is one of my absolute faves…Order a White Chocolate Mocha and get a dash of Java and Chocolate Chips swirled in. Absolutely delish!

Irish Dalmatian:

{happyhourmom name of choice: Irish Dalmatian (I actually made this one up–inspired by the Chocolate Dalmatian : ) }

Same as the chocolate dalmatian, with a little bit of mint. Order a Mint White Chocolate Mocha and swirl in those Java and Chocolate Chips–heaven in a cup!
