We have had an overwhelming response of interest for our features about the 50 Shades of Grey series by E.L. James. Our journey began with the HHM book club. When we started seeing our fellow readers blowing through all three books in a matter of days, we knew that this was something we have to pay closer attention to. Without giving any teasers away the first book began with a crazy love attraction and takes you through an intense story as many refer to as “mommy porn.” You know the first few days in the beginning of a steamy relationship. Where all you can think of is your new love interest. It’s all consuming, hot and so fun. The second and third books allow the story to develop into a “normal” relationship through many ups and downs that keep you hooked.
I finished the books in 6 days, after not being able to put it down. It was right around the time when Universal Studios purchased the movie rights. When the series was completed I was sad and felt like I had broken up with a boyfriend. What would I turn to for my latest entertainment outlet? Since there aren’t any additional chapters to read I started pondering the idea, “who would play Christian Grey in the movie?” Tons of Happy Hour Moms weighed in on who would complete their fantasy. Top contenders are Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer and Alex Pettyfer.
What do you get when you cross a book club party with 50 Shades of Grey? The hottest book club conversation ever! Kelly Ruhl from The Navy Stripe went above and beyond the call of duty to entertain her guests. Here are some great ideas compiled from Kelly and our readers on all the fun details you can include at your 50 Shades of Grey Book Club Party.
