I am excited to share that Happy Hour Mom has been invited to join the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program. Back in the day I spent a couple hours a day working out, and could eat whatever I wanted without weight gain. However, two kids, 7 years, and 40 lbs later, it is time to make an effort to get back to my pre-baby weight. For whatever reason, my focus after having my two children was never on losing my “baby weight.” For many women, getting back to pre-baby weight is top priority after d-day, and I often wish I had that same motivation–but I don’t. I have always been active, fit, and never had any major weight fluctuations prior to motherhood. Since becoming a mom my “me” time has been cut in half (at minimum) and I just simply haven’t made working out a priority. Not only that, but as a working mom with a long work day, most of my meal choices are convenience-driven, making for a rather unhealthy diet. It is time to make some changes!
This journey means a lot to me as it is not just about squeezing into some of my old I’m-not-getting-rid-of-them-because-I-will-fit-in-them-when-I-lose-weight jeans. About a month ago my husband and I agreed that it was time to start trying for baby number 3. As a woman who has added about 15-20 unwavering pounds with each child, I decided it was time to make weight loss a true priority and shed some pounds before trying for our next little blessing. So this opportunity to be a part of the Nutrisystem Blogger Program means more than you can imagine. Nutrisystem is sponsoring me for a complimentary 4 months on the Women’s SUCCESS Select Program. I will be sharing about my journey on Nutrisystem here on HHM, tweeting about my struggles and triumphs, and discussing my experience on the HappyHourMom Facebook Page. For any of you ladies who have thought about starting on your path to a healthier you, I encourage you to join in on my 4 month journey. Let’s do this together and look great just in time for those holiday photos!
