Hello Ladies!
I am so excited to begin this journey into the world of mommy bloggers! I am the mother of two beautiful, wild and crazy, little girls that make every day a new and exciting adventure. I love sharing my experiences with anyone willing to listen, and getting new ideas from other mommies. Just like many of you, I crave those moments to myself, away from children’s cartoons and CDs, away from “mommy, mommy, mommy” echoing throughout the house, and away from those same sweats I have been wearing for the past three days. But, let’s be honest, it is SOOOOO easy to get stuck in a rut. So after having my second child in August of 2008 I vowed to not let the madness continue. I HAVE to change out of my PJ’s every day, I have to do my hair every day and not just throw it in a pony (this was soon amended to at least once a week), and finally, I have to find something to do FOR MYSELF. It was this last one that was the kicker. How would I find time to myself? I can’t even take a shower in peace these days. But it was this promise that led to the birth of Happy Hour Mom.
With the need to have a passion outside of being a mom, but finding it impossible to separate myself from the realm of motherhood, I found a way to have the best of both worlds. As I travel the world for my husband’s career, I have discovered the beauty of the Internet as the easiest way of staying connected with friends and family, and concluded that it is the best way to connect with moms around the world. This, combined with my love for all things creative, inspired the creation of Happy Hour Mom. And with the help of my dear, and equally web-obsessed, friend Toni we have brought HHM to life.
